Activities
The Stanley Bréhaut Ryerson Research Centre library, with its authentic historical look, is a progressive place for multidisciplinary consultation. Housing some 11,000 items, many of them annotated by the founder and donors, the library is a mine of information and knowledge.
Open campus
A springtime university! Universities shouldn't only be places where knowledge is created and conveyed to a privileged minority. They should also be open to those who cannot access them for all kinds of reasons. This will be an intense period of exchange where practising or retired professors will share their knowledge with the general public.
Discussion groups
They allow for in-depth analysis, at times by authors or interpreters, of works and problems, along with exchanges of ideas by participants of diverse backgrounds in an atmosphere of respect for ideological differences.
Bursaries
They encourage researchers working in our areas of interest in order to generate knowledge that is essential to a fairer society and social progress both here and elsewhere. Our bursaries honour future organic intellectuals.
Support for research
La Fondation provides financial and logistic support for the publication of research.
Lectures and other public events
On its own or with partners, La Fondation organizes lectures, film showings, exhibitions and book sales.
Library science workshops
Interested volunteers gather once a week to classify, organize and repair books.
Research centre newsletter
The newsletter appears occasionally to report on lectures, discussion groups and news of other activities.
